We’re celebrating the launch of our brand-new website – the latest in a wave of investments designed to enhance customer experience and confirm our position as one of Cornwall’s top venues. We are thrilled to unveil an intuitive new website designed to make it easier than ever for guests and players to book golf breaks, holidays, events and more. The launch follows a landmark 30th anniversary for this family-run business, which continues to innovate and lead the way within its sector. A funeral reception or wake is a celebration of life, an opportunity for friends and family to come together to pay their respects to a loved one, and traditionally follows the funeral service itself. We thought it would be helpful to put together a blog to outline how we can support you in marking the end of a life. We know it can be a very emotional and stressful time, but we can assure you that, as a family business with over 30 years of experience, Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club is the perfect venue choice. Having lost someone special,…
Over the last 30 years, Lanhydrock has been home to the many motorcycle, car and bike clubs whilst they’re on the road through Cornwall. As a family owned hotel and golf club, we love to host like-minded car and bike enthusiasts and welcome enquiries and bookings from all motor and cycling groups.
We can’t believe we’re 30! To celebrate our 30th Anniversary, we spent some time looking back over the last 30 years since we first opened our doors in 1993, with the Owners and Directors of Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club, Clare and Graham Bond. “It’s certainly been one crazy, incredible roller coaster, especially raising our two sons, Oliver and Christian, amongst it all, but I’d not have it any other way,” Clare said. “I’m so grateful for the life that Lanhydrock has given us over the past 30 years, and more specifically to Graham’s father and uncle, Hermon and Martin…
Candle gazing, meditation & tree poses on the golf course…
We absolutely loved hosting our first ever yoga retreat here at Lanhydrock at the end of October – and it certainly won’t be the last! From outdoor yoga on the golf course (something Lanhydrock and its members have never seen before!) to candle gazing, meditation and utter relaxation, it was a perfect weekend for our retreat visitors to really let go of all tension and stress from the day-to-day, take the time to honour the self, and make the most of our tranquil location here in the heart of the Cornish countryside. The retreat was organised and led by Jill…
Behind the golf scenes with our pro golfer Alister Tawse
Interested in the story of our pro golfer and teacher Alister Tawse? We spoke to him of his time teaching golf at Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club and the effect of the pandemic on interest in the sport. Can you tell us a bit about your golf career, how you found your passion in golf and how you got to where you are today? I have always been a keen sportsman throughout my life, from swimming at a national level to being part of the county rugby team. I started playing golf seriously after leaving school and was very lucky…
The first thing many people imagine when they hear the words ‘wild swimming’ is the sea, and yes, there are an abundance of breathtaking coves and bays dotted all along our stunning stretch of coast that are perfect for a cold dip – but what about the more secret spots that lie inland? Deep, cool rivers meandering gently under canopies of flourishing green, or secluded lakes in hidden glens that wait, still like millponds, for that first dip of a naked toe. There are a few tranquil spots such as these tucked away in the quiet places of our little…
