Here’s a little head’s up for you… Christmas at Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club is going to be one for the memory bank! There really is something for everyone this festive season and we have made it our mission to make December absolutely magical with our busiest line-up ever.

From our belt-loosening Festive Weekday Carveries to Party Nights guaranteed to make your Christmas Work ‘Do’ one to remember (for the right reasons). Here’s why Lanhydrock is the place to be for every ounce of festive fun this year. 

The month kicks off in style on Monday 2nd December, with our unique and hugely popular Festive Weekday Carvery which runs on weekdays until the 20th December, 12-2pm. You can enjoy our famous one or two-course lunch with all the festive trimmings including pigs in blankets, red cabbage and brussel sprouts. We’re feeling hungry just thinking about it! It’s the perfect thing to do with friends to kick off the festive season, enjoy an office meal with colleagues or meet family for a pre-Christmas gathering. 

The first Carvery on the 2nd December will be extra special, with £1 from every lunch automatically donated to our Captain’s Charity – Cornwall Air Ambulance. On Thursday 5th December, we will be offering a special ‘Senior’s Offer’ Carvery with a smaller plate plus an ice cream sundae for £18pp. On the 19th December, electric ukulele quartet ‘Wicked Lollipops’ will be playing a mix of festive classics, rock n roll and pop, providing the perfect soundtrack to festive lunch. £1 from every Carvery that day will be donated to the Sunrise Appeal! 

Get those pennies ready for our free Christmas Craft & Gift Fair taking place in the foyer, Turret and St Hydroc Suites between 11am-3pm on Monday 2nd December. We are so excited to be bringing together some of the best crafts, gifts and food and drink suppliers in Cornwall. Over 30 local businesses will be showcasing their produce and items spanning clothing, Christmas decorations, cards, prints, paintings, toys, soaps and fragrances, books, jewellery, candles, wax melts and more. The very next day on Tuesday 3rd December, it’s our Wreath-making Workshop to give you the opportunity to embrace the beauty of the festive season and stretch your creative fingers! This will be a fun and informative session, and you will be guided every step of the way to ensure you are proud of your creation! Our guests will be using reusable eco wreaths, working to a snow cabin theme whilst tucking into festive biscuits, tea/coffee before being invited into the Nineteen Bar and Bistro to enjoy Carvery.

The festive frolics don’t end there, on Monday 9th December we’re hosting a Mindfulness & Make Workshop, with a 2-hour introduction session to Mindfulness designed to add “a little calm time amongst the hustle and bustle of Christmas”. Using techniques that can be carried over into the new year and beyond, the workshop includes a creative writing activity, nature walk and meditation, followed by our festive Carvery lunch to finish.

If you have your own business or you’re in a team looking for Christmas party ideas, you’re in the right place! We have put together Christmas Party Nights on selected dates throughout December, featuring a 3-course dinner, nibbles, live DJ entertainment and hotel accommodation availability. You are able to book however many tables you need for your team to give them the perfect Christmas treat. Expect an amazing atmosphere, a wide range of guests and a guaranteed good time! 

To round-up our jam-packed Christmas calendar for 2024, gather your nearest and dearest for an extra special New Year’s Eve Lunch on Tuesday 31st December, 12-2pm. Whether you intend on making midnight for auld lang syne or prefer celebrating the end of the year with daytime dinner and an early night, a Carvery at Lanhydrock ticks all the boxes with Prosecco on arrival, a stunning roast and array of festive desserts.
