We’re thrilled to have been busier than ever since the pandemic as businesses have stepped back into the real world, relishing in being able to hold meetings, events, interviews and conferences in person again.
Over the past couple of years, many businesses across the UK were forced to take all forms of correspondence online, but during recent months, it seems companies and professionals have been nothing but eager to conduct business in person and in the real world once more – and it’s brilliant to see our conference and business facilities being used to their fullest again!

1. Location and accessibility
It’s clear to see people have missed the face-to-face, good old-fashioned way of doing business, and thanks to our location here in North Cornwall, just off the A30, we’ve had the pleasure of seeing those meaningful conversations and valuable interactions absolutely flourish again. Our location means we are easily accessible for the whole of the South West, so there’s no need to worry about the travel element of a business trip, plus our large car park means ample space for parking.
2. Our team
Like many fellow businesses, we endured a time of challenge and hardship over the past two years, from staffing issues to temporary closures. Although some of the difficulties faced during the pandemic still remain in certain areas for many businesses, we’re grateful that our current outlook is positive. Our whole team is so grateful for the support we’ve received during and since the pandemic. We strive to provide the best service here at Lanhydrock Hotel, employing kind, caring and hugely valued individuals who are always on hand to help, and we pride ourselves on the excellent feedback from our customers and clients about our amazing team.
We offer two private function and conference rooms together with a large foyer for informal meetings. Entry to the ground floor of the Hotel and Clubhouse is level from the car park and first floor facilities are accessed by stairs or lift. It’s been amazing to welcome back some of our long-standing clients to the hotel, such Paul Miller’s family-run business, Cornish Accounting Solutions, who visited earlier in the year for an all day ‘planning for success’ workshop in our St Hydroc Suite. Paul was certainly happy to be interacting with his team in the real world again.
To have been through the challenging times faced by the hospitality industry in the past years and emerge from it in a place of positivity is wonderful. We always seek to embody this positive attitude and extend it to our guests to make their visit the best possible experience, no matter what challenges we may be facing. We’re a family-orientated business so absolutely love building relationships with other businesses that value the importance of family and longstanding connections in the community. It’s been fantastic to welcome some of these clients back to the hotel and see them in real life again over the past months!
5. Extra perks
Need we say it – there’s no better setting for those more informal business meetings than out in the fresh air on our golf course! We’ve seen a great number of business matters taking place out on the greens recently, which feels great that we can provide this slightly more relaxed setting for business meetings when needed. Not to mention, our Nineteen Bar & Bistro is always on hand providing a bite to eat and a drink or formal sit down lunch if required. With our comfortable, affordable rooms available for an overnight stay including a full Cornish breakfast the next morning, plus our fitness suite (which is open to non-members), alongside many great Cornish locations to visit on our doorstep, there’s certainly enough extra perks to enjoy when visiting Lanhydrock Hotel – even on a business trip!
