Lanhydrock Becomes Cycle-Friendly!
We are delighted to be supporting the National Trust Lanhydrock estate in their work to create new family-friendly cycle trails for everyone to enjoy.
As part of a new charitable partnership with the Trust, we have pledged £1000 per year over five years to aid the building and on-going maintenance of the trails.
The 10km of new off-road trails will form part of the Lanhydrock Cycle Hub, which will also include a cycle hire building with café and visitor facilities, and is due to open in the spring.
Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club Director Clare Bond said of the project: “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to demonstrate to our staff and guests our commitment to supporting Cornwall’s beautiful natural environment. We believe that our guests will really enjoy using the new cycle trails at Lanhydrock and we are therefore very happy to support this exciting project.”
Rebecca Brookes-Sullivan, General Manager of The National Trust’s Lanhydrock House, Gardens and Estate said “We are delighted that our neighbours, the Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club have decided to support this exciting venture. As a charity, we rely on donations to support our work and once complete, we believe that this project will provide an amazing opportunity for locals and visitors alike to enjoy our beautiful countryside”.
Confirmation of our involvement in the project coincides with the construction of a brand new fitness suite at the hotel, which is nearing completion and is due to open this winter.
We are excited at the prospect of offering guests more choice of leisure activities including becoming listed as a preferred supplier on the 1 South West website, following a few improvements recommended by the cycling organisation to make the hotel more ‘cycling-friendly’.
