Here at Lanhydrock we like to support charity when we can and in January we’ll be attending thie Annual Dinner in support of Wooden Spoon, The Children’s Charity of Rugby
The annual dinner will be held at the Atlantic Hotel Newquay on Friday 20th January 2012. Guest Speaker Ian Robertson (Scotland, The Barbarians and BBC Rugby) and comedian Russ Williams will be in attendance/
There is a formal dress code with lounge suits for gentlemen and cocktail dresses for the ladies.
The children’s charity ‘Wooden Spoon’, strongly believe that children and young adults all deserve the chance to live a fulfilling life.
Sponsored and partnered by UK Rugby, the essence of fun is harnessed along with the values of rugby so as to give disadvantaged children to the opportunity to achieve their full potential in everything they do.
Wooden Spoon organise their own charity fundraisers, spending the money raised where it is most needed. Funds raised over the years have gone toward assisting with the cost of many projects such as medical treatment and recovery centres, sports and activity areas, sensory rooms and gardens, playgrounds and hydrotherapy pools and also include outreach programmes for kids in their communities.
