The weather broke for Captain Robin Bostock-Smith to enjoy his Captains Day 2010. With the support of the Ladies who provided halfway house refreshments, the raffle and donations, £586.33 was raised towards the The Captains Charity. Many thanks to Robin and all involved with the day.

Dear members 

Just an update after this weeks British par 3 championship in the Midlands hosted by Tony Jacklin honouring his 40th anniversary of winning the US Open. After round one I was in 4th spot 2 behind Mark Mouland (who played in 638 European tour events and one behind Oliver fisher who played in this years US Open. Today I went out excited about playing against over 25 European tour players in a big event. Without a bogey on my card o finished 6 under tied with mark mouland with one hole to play. After hitting the green and leaving his first putt 8 feet short he had this to force a play off. Fortunately for me he missed making me the 2010 British Par 3 Champion. This was filmed on sky tv and will be shown later this month. After numerous tv interviews and newspaper interviews I'm still buzzing and with a bottle of moet the biggest I have ever seen and a first prize of £5000 pound coins in a wheel barrow (the tradition of the tournament which will keep Dan busy bagging them up) I would like to thank all the support from my friends and members of Lanhydrock Golf Club. 

I will let you know when the tournament will be shown on sky this month.

The Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club Autumn Wedding Fayre will be held on Sunday 17th October. The event is open from 11.00AM to 4.00PM and entry is free.
