Mixed Open

The weather was kind to this years Mixed Open which was played in ideal conditions. Many congratulations to Ken and Karen Hough from Torquay Golf Club who got the better of a field of 70 pairs with a score of 43 points. Second was Michael and Rosemary Kirkham from Saunton with 42 points and Lanhydrock's Tom and Teresa Shaw coming third with 41 points. Please see attached file for full list of scores. Two Ball Betterball Open

A field of 124 players contested a close competition with many pairs scoring 40 points or more. Congratulations to N Goodman and T Carthew form Bowood on an excellent score of 44 points.

Junior Open

Thank you all for your entries and congratulations to Carl Burley (gross 70) and Alice Aindow (gross 82) for winning the Scratch Prize at our Junior Open and qualifing in The Daily Telegraph Competition. Also well done to Abi Maude (net 69) and G Leathley (net 65) in the H'cap Competition.

Ladies Open

Unlike last year an excellent field competed in dry conditions with Lanhydrock Ladies showing well in the prizes. Hacker Browning won N.T.P on the 15th hole. In the Stableford Competition, the top three Ladies all had 36 points with 1st Pauline O'shea (Newquay) 2nd Brenda Williamson (Lanhydrock) and 3rd Margaret Tregenna (Lanhydrock). In the Medal Competition 1st place went to Heather Tilsley (Lanhydrock) with 79 net 67, 2nd Erica Vierk (Lanhydrock) with 85 net 67 and 3rd position was Annette Cardwell (Tiverton) with 88 net 68. Thank you all for playing and we look forward to welcoming back in 2011.

Seniors Open

123 Players from twenty differnet Clubs entered this years Seniors Open. A closely fought contest, the top five places were separated by only 2 points and the top three all finished with 40 points. Congratulations to Dave Morris, our 2010 Seniors Open Champion.

Men's Open

The last competition of the week was the Men's Open. Round of the day goes to Richard Brown, a 'Super Senior' who shot a gross 73 net 66. Lanhydrock's 2010 Men's Open Champion is P Hendy from Yelverton with a Gross 72. handicap Champion is Lanhydrock's own Rob Marks. Please see attached with full scores and results. A big thanks to our Secretary Brian Liggat who has overseen 769 players over the week and thank you all for entering.
